Candy Pangilinan Banned in Baguio

The Baguio City councilors declared Candy Pangilinan as an unwelcome visitor in the summer capital, due to the “Igorot comedy act” she made at the SM Baguio last weekend.

In one of her joke, she said “Tao po ako , hindi po ako Igorot”
which came as an insult to the Igorot community.

A motion that was passed by councilor Greg Bagbagen declared Candy Pangilinan as a “persona non grata”, that makes her an unwanted visitor in baguio and thus banned all her movies to be shown in the city’s theaters.

Meanwhile, Candy Pangilinan apologizes for the mistake she had made and is now planning to launch a fund-raiser to benefit the Cordillerans.
