Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda just proved that Filipinos are monkeys
The statement came from Freddie Aguilar, In an interview of pep in the grand opening of his “Ka Freddie’s Music Bar and Restaurant” in Adriatico Manila.
He stated that Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda just proved that Filipinos are real monkeys, just like what Mariah Carey has labeled us.
Freddie said “What monkeys see, monkeys do”, they’ve just proven that we, filipinos doesn’t have our own and we’re just good at copying.

What he is talking about came from a rumor which spread way back years ago, where it is said that Mariah Carey has allegedly called Regine Velasquez a “brown monkey that could sing” in an interview with VJ Donita Rose on MTV. The news has later been proven as untrue or a hoax as the interview between the two didn’t even happen.

Yes my friend, according to pula.ph…the brown monkey was a hoax. I do feel that Ka Freddie said more than he meant to chew, but I still respect him for being one of the foundations of OPM. I guess this is just a huge misunderstanding
