DOH declared Low Level A(H1N1) outbreak
Department of Health declared a Low Level outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1) virus in some areas of metro manila.
The declaration came after the DOH has reported the country’s first A(h1n1) related death, identified as a house of representatives staff.
DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said that the public has no reason to panic since the virus is mild in nature and has only affected a small portion of the contries. total population.
With 473 confirmed cases of h1n1 , 400 of them has already fully recovered and had been discharged from hospitals.
Duque said that the low level of community transmission is not for the entire manila , and the declaration is just only area specific including schools located in Manila, Quezon City and Paranaque.
