Google celebrates Philippine independence day through Doodle
If your home page in your browser is set to google, I bet you’ve already seen the homepage of google.ph which shows a google logo with 3 stars and a sun on it.
Its the very first time for google to make a “doodle” for filipinos, and this time to commemorate our country’s 111th Independence Day.
What do we celebrate today?
In June 12, 1898 between 4 to 5pm, General Emilio Aguinaldo declared the Philippine independence from Spain in a ceremony held in his balcony at Kawit Cavite.
Its the first time that the “Hongkong made” Philippine flag was unveiled and is also the very first time that the Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” which was composed by Julian Felipe was played by the “San Francisco de Malabon band”.
