Magna Carta of Women
Her excellency, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed the Magna Carta of Women or the Republic Act 9710 in Malacañang, morning of Friday (August 14, 2009).
This law is the recognition that women rights are human rights, and thus prohibits discrimination againts women; promotes and protect their rights. The magna carta of women provides equal rights and opportunities to all women just like any other men in terms of work, health and wellness opportunities.
Meanwhile, NCRFW or the National Commission on the role of filipino women will watch if the law is being implemented in all sectors of our society for the benefit and protection of all the women in the Philippines.
