Marian Rivera is the latest Darna

Just this afternoon, Marian Rivera was surprised by the GMA 7′s announcement that she’ll be playing as the next Darna.

This will be Marian Rivera’s second time to portray a role of a very famous comic character, and the first to do it is Governor Vilma Santos who have also done both Dyesebel and Darna on film.

The last actress who portrayed darna on TV is Angel Locsin way back 2005, and as you may remember before, GMA has released a teaser ad where they’ve shown us an upcoming captain barbel meets darna series,

but GMA 7′s senior vice president for entertaiment Wilma Galvante said, that they’ve come to the conclusion to separate the two story, and to do a whole darna story series instead of the original plan, but it doesn’t close the possibility that darna and captain barbel may later meet in the fantaserye.

There is still no definite date on when they will start the taping, and they’re still looking for the right actor who will play as darna’s latest leading man.

Marian Rivera, AGAIN?!?!?!?! NAKAKASAWA KA NA MARIAN!!! SAWANG SAWA NA KAMI SAYO (I’m not referring to everyone. But most people, are.) Gma 7 naman! You’ve got other talents. not just MARIAN RIVERA! Gosh.. everytime I see her face or basically her name, it annoys me! (And I’m just saying this because I want to.) – FREEDOM OF SPEECH. ok?!! So Marian fans out there, kumontra man kayo, bahala kayo. GOD BLESS YOU! haaaaay nakakainis talaga. Sisirain lang ni Marian ang role na Darna!!! Lintek. :|

Hi, my favorite channel is GMA7 because of the fair news and exciting TV daily teleseryes. For me, it is not OK to change the character of the heroine, DARNA. She is a legend and so does her story. Changing it to \fit\ the character of Ms. Marian is too demeaning to the superhero’s original story. Also this will only mean that Ms. Marian is not a flexible to acting the different characters/persons. She can only effectively convey/portray the role when the role is near to Ms. Marian’s personality. As per previous email, paulit ulit na lang ang klase ng taong mapapanood namin ….she is only good for kikay roles…(as per experience from her last movies and TV shows). AAAYYYY..hopefully magaling yung IBANG kasama niyang actors and actresses na umarte para madala nila ang show ni DARNA. Kasi habang pinapanood namin ang DARNA, baka maalaala namin ang dyesebel o marimar…baka mapagkamalan namin na hango ito sa dyesbel o marimar…hehehhee….SANA makita namin ang ibang tao kay Ms. Marian…yung kapag napanuod namin ang show eh madadala kami ng emosyon..masaya, malungkot o iba pa man..boring kasi umacting si Ms. Marian…at iisa isa ang tono ng boses…Pero OK si Ms. Marian sa mga print ads..sana mag model model na lang siya..salamat at magandang gabi!!! Ito ho ay nanggagaling mula sa isang madalas na sumubaybay sa channel 7 at ipinaglalaban sa ibang tao ang kagandahan ng channel 7 kumpara sa ibang channels…

hahayz…. may remake darna na naman…. bago pa lang yun ah! yung kay angel….. magka generation lang c angel at maraian ah… y not give it other generation….staka ang dami kya ng talent sa GMA but c maraian pa… y not the net. try to build up oNOther talent.. kawawa nman yung iba… also y not take the risk part naman yun ng business ah…. sana iba nalang yung gagwin ni marian. its seems that she is obviously the apple of GMA… WAT ABOUT THE OTHER TALENTS OF GMA ANONG GAGAWIN NILA….

Hi! Regarding marian rivera being tne New Darna I believed na bagay na bagay sa kanya kc bukod sa maganda cya at magaling umarte I think bagay din ang costume sa kanya, sana yong mga nag cocoment magsabi lang ng pawang katotohanan lamang na wala clang magagawa kahit anung sabihin nila hindi nila kayang pigilan ang pag sikat ninuman panahon ni Marian ngayon matuwa na lang kayo para kanya kc obvious naman na you also watching marian that’s why may mga nasasabi kayo at huwag kayong naninira hindi kayo magiging masaya watch na lang tayong lahat ng new Darna siguradong maganda yan kc gawa ng GMA 7.
