Maximum Drug Retail Price (MDRP)

Our President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has signed yesterday (july 27), the Executive Order (EO) which imposed the (MDRP) or maximum drug retail price on the five drugs that does not comply with the recommendation of DOH (Department of Health) and DTI (Department of Trade and Industry).

List of Drugs under MDRP

The following list of drugs are the ones which did not voluntarily comply with the 50% percent price cut as recommended by the imposition of MDRP, the list includes prices of anti-hypertensive, anti-cholesterol, anti-biotic/anti-bacterial and anti-neoplastics/anti-cancer medicines.

the new rates for these medicines will take effect starting August 15, 2009.
