MRT goes 24 hours
Good news for all night shift workers, MRT will start its 24 hours operation starting June 1.
The Metro Rail Transit 3 on EDSA will do this to serve commuters who are working mostly on call centers to have a much safe, reliable and secure transportation during the late night up to early morning.
Security guards will be posted in every station and inside the trains to protect passengers from possible harm during the late night operation.
This 24/7 operations of MRT remain temporary, as they will still check if their income will meet the train’s operation cost.
UPDATE: as of june 3, mrt decided not to continue its experimental 24/7 operation, 2 days after it started.
