PGMA declared August 5 as a special non-working holiday
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has declared August 5 to be a special non working holiday.
It was declared as a holiday so the Filipino people will have the chance to join the funeral procession and burial of the former president of the Philippines, Mrs. Corazon C. Aquino .
Aside from this holiday declaration, the Malacañang has also announced a ten (10) day period of national mourning for the death of our country’s democracy icon.
