Power of 10 – GMA 7
GMA 7 will be doing a local version of the american tv game show Power of 10.
The original game show on america was aired on CBS, hosted by the award winning comedian Drew Carey.
Power of 10 – GMA 7 mechanics
the game is played by two players, predicting the results of poll questions conducted by gma 7 (just like in family feud) in a best of five game.
the player must choose from 0% to 100% within 10 seconds or the computer will automatically lock in the percentage the contestant was currently on when the time runs out.
the player who came very closer to the actual percentage earns a point, and after a player has already earned 3 points, the player can now play the money round where he/she could win up to 10 million pesos.
In the power of 10 money round, the player will be still predicting the percentage of poll results but his/her answer must be included inside the range of the correct answer.
every each round that the range of percentage decreases, the value of the money does increase.
1,000 pesos question 40 point range
10,000 pesos question 30 point range
100,000 pesos question 20 point range
1,000,000 pesos question 10 point range
10,000,000 pesos question – you’ll only have the chance to play this if you have the exact guess on the previous question
example: how many filipino said that they preferred to be single?
and if the correct answer is 60%, the player’s range must have included 60%.
when the contestant missed either the 1,000 pesos or 10,000 pesos question , the player will go home with nothing, but when the contestant missed a question from the 100,000 peso question onwards, it will caused the player’s current money to be reduced by the power of 10.
