Smartmatic, TIM and Comelec sealed poll automation contract
The signing of the poll automation contract pushed through even a petition was filed by a group of lawyers, after the Supreme Court did not issue a temporary restraining order.
The contract for the poll automation deal were signed today by Comelec chairman Jose Melo, Salvador Arque of Total Information Management (TIM) , Armando Yanes of Smartmatic Corporation and Juan Villa.
The poll automation will be use in the 2010 presidential election and will end the manual counting system where massive cheating usually happens.
