WordPress Modified Kubrick Menu Navigation Theme
I love the simplicity of the wordpress theme that I am using right now, last night I’ve received an email from a visitor, asking on how did I managed to put a menu navigation at the top of my wordpress kubrick theme.
For you information , the default wordpress kubrick theme isn’t equipped with the menu navigation that you can see here, which I think is very vital for any blog to have one.
In this version, I just combined the menu navigation code that I’ve got from liewcf, and the modified kubrick theme with full sidebar by lancelhoff
aside from the nav, this includes a redirect template which you can use on redirecting a page to a link, a built-in related post feature and with some minor changes like the post title color.
I made this available for people who are not familiar to wordpress theme coding and for lazy people as well.
Installing the Modified Kubrick Menu Navigation Theme:
1. Download and unzip KubrickMN.zip (a KubrickMN folder is created)
2. Upload the “KubrickMN” folder to your wordpress wp-content/themes directory
3. Activate the theme from your “Appearance ->Themes” section in your WordPress admin panel.
you can change the “home” button word to anything you like (ie. blog, home page etc.) by just editing its anchor text on your header.php
Note: This WordPress Modified Kubrick Menu Navigation Theme is best use for blogs that are using a “Main Page (no parent)” type of pages, if you have sub pages on your blog, you can still use it but it may not look good though.
